Let it go, this too shall pass.

November 20, 2013

A few years ago our family went through some real difficulties. My husband lost his job, and I wasn’t bringing in much money, so our savings were going fast. Yes, it was freak out time!! We were also dealing with some medical issues, while looking for new medical insurance. All of this really put a toll on our marriage. Our son picked up on the vibes and started having tantrums at the drop of a hat, and needed reassurance about everything—and who could blame him. My emotions, of course, were the wild animals they usually are during difficult times. The worrier inside of me was having a field day. One minute I was angry, the next scared (boy, my first chakra was really shut down). I remember once just sitting in the bathtub and crying. I did my best, but often it was hard seeing the forest from the tress. But time passed and all is well again. My husband has a great job, my second book will be published in the Fall, and our son is thriving. It’s a good reminder, that during those hard stretches to always say to ourself, “This too shall pass,” and believe it. Because it always does.
