Get clarity by breathing in.

October 27, 2013

I find that sometimes clarity lasts for a while, and sometimes it doesn’t. It all depends on what’s happening. The more attached we are to a particular belief—even when it doesn’t serve us—the harder it is to let it go. (I was a diehard vegetarian for years, until realizing that my body craved meat every once in a while.) But it doesn’t matter. Every single moment brings an opportunity for us to find clarity again. Now. Now. Now. Sometimes I take in a deep breath and connect with my intention to live authentically—according to who I really am—and boom, there it is— clarity. But then five minutes later it’s gone, again. Yes, it’s hard and frustrating. But who ever said that he path to self-discovery was easy? Lot’s of things are hard. Getting sick is hard. Losing a job is hard. Ending a relationship is hard. But just because something is hard doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t pursue it. No matter how many times we lose our clarity (which if you are like me, is a lot), we can always remember that we have this very moment and our connection with spirit. And that is all we ever need.
