Accepting yourself and something much larger than yourself.

December 18, 2013

It’s official. I am now a #HRockstar! #HRockstar is an awesome Google + Community that values individual transformation and building infectious connections through engaging in world-class, cutting-edge & blissful communication. Their motto is: Nothing But Excellence (NBE). These folks are kindred spirits; they speak my language. Members post intriguing questions like: what’s your favorite word? If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? What do you most want to experience in this lifetime? Like all Google+ Communities members post their thoughts in the community venue, thoughts about what they want to achieve and how to do the their best in all areas of their lives. They have challenging goals and “missions.” I haven’t been so jazzed about joining a group in a long time. I believe that having goals and setting my sights incredibly high are very necessary, which is why I am a #HRockstar.

However, there’s more to it. I believe that we are not in this life alone—and I mean it in the highest sense of the word; Spirit is always there guiding us. For me, the most important thing is to check inside myself often, so that I am in tune with what Spirit wants for me—and to act on that! Often, it aligns with my agenda, but sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes what I want may not be right for me at a given time (or ever). I may need to take a “detour.”; Or perhaps, there’s something better for me to aim for, which I couldn’t have possibly known when I was planning next year’s goals.

Life happens. We need to be able to bend and embrace all of our experiences as “necessary”, even the difficult ones. How we deal with life makes the whole difference as does seeing what happens to us as positive, even divine, because that’s what our true partner in life—the cosmos—deems necessary. So, plan your ass off, and then let your life unfold. If you can do that, if you can really and truly trust and honor what spirit wants for you—and work in partnership with it, then you will accomplish more in your life and be more fulfilled than you can possibly imagine.
